He swallowed and looked into her teary eyes, hesitating first but then nodded
"Alright, come on"
he helped her up just as security guards came inside the house

Alex got up quickly, knowing she wouldn't be left behind to go look for her daughter.

Thomas talked with the security guard but didn't let them stop him and Alex as they hurried out to their car

Alex mumbled softly.
"Oh god, what if somebody took her, Thomas?"

He said as they got into the car and Thomas sped up

he pulled out of the driveway, hiding his concern pretty well, but mostly cause he didn't want to let Alex see him freaking out, it would not make her feel any better

Alex willed herself to look up from her hands, but her eyes were so blurry with tears she could hardly see a thing.

He grabbed her hand tightly as he steered with his other hand. He stroke his thumb on her hand to comfort her a bit and also to comfort himself. He was getting sick to his stomach of worry now

"We're not going to find her...." Alex whispered, her voice turning desperate. "What if we don't find her? Oh god, Thomas... what if we've lost her?!"
