A while later Henry returned in a hurry, followed closely by Jean. Although she was afraid that there was nothing she could do for Logan when Henry told her he'd fallen from a ten store building, she'd brought a first aid kit just in case. As she entered the room her eyes went wide for a second. The sight of Logan was pretty shocking - blood was still trickling from his nose, the corner of his mouth and his ears. More blood was dripping from a headwound, onto his girlfriend's lap. And there was those dark crimson stains on his clothes, too.
However.. it wasn't the wounds that shocked Jean and made her eyes go wide. It was the fact that Logan was still in one piece, without any awkward angles. The guy should have the thickness of pancake. After her initial shock, she hurried over to the sofa and kneeled beside it. "Hold that pressed against the wound there," Jean instructed Mystique, telling her to keep the cloth against the headwound instead of his forehead. "Don't press too hard," She mumbled, keeping in mind that his skull might be fractured. Jean took a pair of scissors from the kit and cut away Logan's shirt, before she repeated what Henry did before - inspecting Logan's body for any broken bones.

Mystique did as she was told, for once not arguing with Jean. She held the cloth in place and watched as Jean felt around his body. "Is he dying?" She mumbled quietly, the hand that wasn't putting pressure on the wound was trembling as it rested on Logan's arm.

Jack couldn't see Logan's face or head, just that he was on her lap. She shrugged, but stepped closer, wanting to see what was going on. With Jean poking around Logan's body with a dazed look on her face, Jack figured something weird was happening.

"Uhm.." Jean looked over to Mystique hesitantly. Usually the answer would've been pretty clear. A guy fell over 150 feet and didn't get the medical attention a hospital could provide - of course he was going to die. But something weird was going on. As far as Jean could tell, Logan hadn't broken a single bone. It was as if something had broken his fall, something hard enough to take on the impact. Nonetheless, Jean wasn't sure whether Logan would survive. Any internal damage was still possible, even likely. "I don't know." She eventually mumbled in response. She grabbed bandages to fix up the worst wounds, before the bloodloss would become fatal now that the fall itself hadn't been.

Mystique took a sharp intake of breath, as if somebody had punched her in the stomach. Saying "I don't know" was as good as saying, "Yes, he is most definitely going to die,". She leaned over and placed a soft kiss on his forehead. "Don't leave me, baby," She whispered, her trembling fingers moving from his arm to his face, lightly caressing his cheek, then moving to his lips to wipe away the blood. "Please don't leave me,"

Jean briefly looked at Mystique, "Sorry," She said, gently moving Mystique's hands away from Logan's face so she could bandage his head. She didn't apply the bandages before her fingers trailed over the headwound though, examing for any fractures in the most primitive method. She didn't exactly have an X-Ray apparatus here. Her gaze briefly met Henry's while she wrapped the bandage around the wound, "I thought you hadn't checked right," She admitted, "I thought it'd be impossible.."

"Then it's real?" Hank said, "The fall should have killed him, yet he hasn't even sprained anything,"
Mystique glanced between the two of them. "What? What do you mean?"
"This is fascinating!" Hank mumbled, more to himself than to the others. "When - if - he's back on his feet, I must get him down to the lab to run some tests and see how he managed it,"

Jean met Mystique's gaze, a little hesitant to tell her it looked like Logan would survive, because she wasn't entirely sure. But if his bones didn't break, the internal damage would be limited considerably, giving him a fair chance. "He didn't break anything," Jean explained. "It uhm.. it happens that people survive long falls. It's very unlikely, it happens very rarely. Was there anything that broke his fall?"

"Other than the asphalt?" Mystique raised an eyebrow. "No, nothing," She glanced away, hearing that sickening sound when his body hit the ground, and sent a shake through their surrounding. She looked back down at Logan, her fingers stroking his hair gently. He looked so pale, and frail, although he'd hate to know she thought that about him. Her Logan, her big, strong protector, her cage fighter. It hadn't even crossed her mind that even if he did survive this, he probably wouldn't be fighting for a while, and she was out of a job. All she cared about right now was that he survived this, the rest they'd figure out later.

Jean nodded, although it seemed so unlikely. In all the stories she's heard, there was always something to break the fall. A tree, a thick layer of snow, a hood of a car.. anything to absorb the first impact. Jean finished bandaging the large fleshwound on Logan's shoulder, and took her first aid kit again. There was nothing more she could do though - not without bringing Logan to a hospital, and that was against the law. "All we can do now is wait," She told Mystique, "I wish there was more I could do but I don't have the equipment here. It can go either way from here, Raven, either he'll wake up or it'll go downhill." Jean paused briefly, biting her lip, "I'm sorry," She mumbled, feeling guilty for not being able to help any more.
