The Uprising

[Lisa]

Silently tip-toeing through the street, I stepped over the dead bodies lying on the ground. Normally I would have assumed that these things could wake up at any moment and have me for an afternoon snack, but whoever was here last knew what they were doing; the only way to actually kill one of these things is by decapitation. These ones right here, that I was stepping over, were slaughtered, brutally. In a small part of my mind I wish I could meet whoever killed so many of these bastards. It had to have been more than one person, right? These things are fast and vicious. I learned that the hard way a week ago.

I nodded to the stranger I had just met, named Soren. He had one of my shot guns while I had my cross-bow held up ready to shoot anything that came at me. I didn't even know if this stranger would be a good shot, let alone have my back.

Soren glanced down at half of a head lying on the street. The other half was smashed in. He could feel bile rise in his throat at the sight and smell. "yummy.." He muttered to himself and took a quick glance at Billie, the stranger he just met a few minutes ago. She came out of no where and Soren could tell she wasn't from around here. Most girls from around here would be throwing up right now and freaking out and crying. Most girls from around here wouldn't have three shot guns a cross bow and god knows what other weapons she had on her. Most girls around here would already be dead. But she knew what she was doing.

Keeping his eyes open for anymore zombies, Soren continued on, keeping his head clear of anything other than his surroundings. However, when he heard Billie yell, he automatically turned toward her and pointed his his gun.

Well I didn't mean to point my cross-bow right in his face, I thought he was a walker. But once I already had, I figured, why not go the extra mile and scare the hell out of this guy. Sometimes a girl had to show men that she's just as strong, if not stronger, than they are. Besides, he had a gun too. "Put the god damn gun down.. Now!!" Okay okay, so maybe I went a little overboard with the whole, New York cop sounding thing, but it sounded good in my head.

Soren raised an eyebrow at Billie and lowered his weapon. "He's not a walker." He told her. "Anyway, you sounded like you should be a bad episode of Law and Order." Soren snickered at his own joke but stopped the moment Billie gave him a dirty look.

With a sigh and roll of the eyes, I lowered my weapon. "You're lucky I didn't shoot you right in the face.." I glance back at Soren, "BOTH of you.." I added, thinking how similar this is to the way I just met Soren. I glanced back at the man in front of me. "Is this your work out here?" I ask and nod my head to all the dead bodies in the street.

Panic pounded through my veins as I looked down at all the dead bodies in the street. What if I was next? I peered around nervously and tucked dark brown hair behind my ear. I felt very alone out here on the streets. I needed somewhere to stay. It was kind of creepy walking along these streets with no one around. It felt like I was the last living being on the planet.

Suddenly, I catch sight of a threesome standing a ways away. Grateful to see people again, I run forward to meet them and say, "Hey."

[Barbossa's girl]

"Yeah", Colton answered. "You got a problem with that?"

He held his crossbow out with the arrow pointed at Billie. He admired Billie and loved to annoy her by talking about himself or flirting with her.

"Where've you been, bright eyes?"

[Lisa]

Soren seen another girl approaching them and instantly she reminded him of the type of girls he was thinking about earlier. He started to walk over to her, ignoring the conversation going on with the other two.

I raised an eyebrow at the mans response. "Actually I was gunna say you did a great job for being alone.. But since you wanna be cocky about it...." She rolled her eyes and knew she probably wouldn't like this one.

Soren held his hand out to the girl. "Hi, I'm Soren.. That's Billie and... well we haven't get his name yet..." He pointed to the guy Billie was talking to, "Have you seen any other survivors?" He asked.

I turned away, uninterested in the mans name, "put that thing down, before you hurt yourself , killer.." I said about his crossbow which was still pointed at me.

[Barbossa's girl]

"Billie?" Colton asked. "Isn't that a guy's name?"

He looked at the guy who called himself Soren.

"The name's Cole, short stuff. Killer...I like that. Killer Colt."

[Lisa]

"B-i-l-l-i-e.. is a girls name.. B-i-l-l-y is a guys name.." I looked away. "Actually it's what my father used to call me.. It's not my real name."

[~ Mistress Beckett ~]

Amy gave Soren a nervous smile and took his hand. It felt warm despite the icy cold night. She was tempted never to let go of his hand. She introduced herself, "I'm Amy. And no...I'm the only one. I thought I was alone. I'm so glad I found you all."

[Lisa]

Soren smiled a little, "Nice to meet you Amy, we're actually--" He cut himself off when he seen one of the creatures walk out from the side of a building. Without any delay, he shot it in the head. "No time for introductions!!" He yelled when he seen two more. "I hope you can run.." He said to Amy, guessing she wouldn't know what to do with a gun.

[Barbossa's girl]

"If you say so, bright eyes", Colt told Billie. "What were you all doing out here?"

[Lisa]

(I'm switching to third person, so no one gets confused)

Billie shot Cole a dirty look and went to answer his question, but was interrupted by gunshots. She turned toward Soren and seen the zombies coming out of no where. Almost as though they smelled them. Astoria began firing her bow at them and gestured for Amy to run ahead of them all, since she was the only one without a weapon. Over the gunfire and noise, she yelled to Cole, "No anywhere around here we can go? I'm not from here, so I don't know the area."

Soren pulled Amy behind him and began shooting at the walkers. "There's a mall three blocks back that way." He pointed in the direction they were walking.
