"I trust it you will." I tell her matter of factly, gesturing her to follow me to my quarters to get a map for her to plot the route on. "Take what ye need. Ye'll be working updecks, where I can see you." I inform her, as we enter the room.

"Oh that's going a little far, I'm sure I can make myself comfortable in here." I smirk, "Home from home, really." I begin looking through a few of his draws noisily, even though I know that's not where I'll find a decent map to work on, "You know there are plenty of things that I need you you don't nessacarily want me to have, you should have been clearer with you instructions." I inform him.

I raise an eyebrow, "So much for that bloody saint business, innit?" I comment drily, walking over to where she's rummaging through my stuff. I snap a drawer shut just after she opened it, nearly catching her fingers in between. "I'm not looking for yer fun and games, darlin'. Take a map, get to work. That'll be the most profitable method for the both of us. Savvy?" I tell her, looking down at her with narrowed eyes.

I shake my hand to numb the sensation, "Jesus Christ, don't be so bloody violent." I mutter with sarcasm more than anything, "Fine, I will just keep my unsaintly behavior out of your sight." I grab a map off of a nearby desk and shrug, noticing his narrowed eyes, I return the same look.

"Much obliged." I respond drily, picking up several plotting instruments which I hand over to her, as well as a quill, ink and a compass. When she has all she needs, I open the door to head out again.

I smirk over at the door as soon as he's closed it. I'd forgotten the light entertainment aboard this ship and that, along with the fact I got my own way on two accounts, lifts my mood slightly. I take a seat inside the cabin and begin plotting out what I know will lead us in the general direction of where I presume they will be.
As I think about it my eyes flicker back and forth to the door as the ship begins moving, its hard to keep focused on something like this, my mind doesn't let me think too much about the past or even the future of this voyage - there is a fear constricts me mentally and I've had it for so long now it's hard to avoid. I stare at the sheet of detailed ocean and land for a while. There are other reasons I don't want to put the end of the route down. For one, I can't bare to think of it, and second - I'm not entirely sure of how accurate it'll be. So instead I'm really leaving it to chance, but Jack doesn't need to know that.
I work in the cabin until it gets dull outside and I realise I need a drink.

By then, the port of Tortuga is long behind us. The outlines of land have made way for the endless horizon in every direction. I'm content with this development. No matter how much I love Tortuga and the rotten lifestyle it offers its poor habitants and visitors, setting sail always feels like coming home. The fact that the situation has altered this time - with a few 'new' souls aboard (dark as one might be), is hardly the first thing on my mind any more. When I stand at the helm of my ship, there's really little that can disturb me. With my hand on one of the spokes, I find my mind much more occupied with the ocean and the sublime tranquillity she offers this early evening.

I leave the map behind and head out onto the decks, looking around a little at the crew, new and old, before I head down to grab a couple of rum bottles - the best excuse for bothering the captain is with the bride of rum as always. I head back up to the helm and dangle it infront of his face, "The map is all ready fer yer burning enthusiam of venture." I inform him.

"So you've managed to do what ye were told, for a chance, eh?" I conclude, taking the bottle from her and pulling out the cork. Although the sublime tranquillity took a fall upon her arrival, I do appreciate her delivery of rum. It compensates for my disturbed peace and quiet fairly well.

"Yes, but only to please myself, never to please you." I note, drinking from my own bottle, "I presume the last ten years have been fairly boring for you without me around, no wonder you need my company again. Around Tortuga I find that I'm becoming quite a lot more infamous than you. Just the other day I heard someone spouting a tale about me without so much as a mention of you." I tease him, easily.
