"My ears are quite rainbow free," I grab her finger, giving her a push away from me. "Although I'm sure wary and hateful works just fine for you, luv, I'm trying to enjoy my life while I'm still able. Not sure how I'll manage that now you're aboard.. But I'll see what I can do."

"I'll make it my first duty to help your feet make their way back to reality." I tell him, and in knowing a lot more about this voyage than anyone else onboard I know it'll be the case by the end of it, "It'll be a journey you won't enjoy."

"You were always so good at promoting these little ventures of yours," I reply sarcastically, leaning on the wheel as I meet her gaze.

I meet his gaze, thoughts whirring around in my head for a long while until I speak again, "You're right, maybe I shouldn't be so kind."

I raise an eyebrow slightly at her long pause. "Glad you've concluded so. Now if that's all, I'm sure there are plenty more people to annoy on this ship."

"Noone else is worth my time of day, you should be honoured." I shrug and begin to head away yet again, though this time I actually walk down back to the decks.

I've been teaching Cora the work that Jack has asked us to do; but every once in awhile I'm content to let Gibbs have a bit of time with her. Cora's never had a man in her life, any sort of father figure, and as much as Gibbs' superstition made him wary of her at first, the two had become as thick as thieves. I'm standing by the rail, looking out on the horizon, letting my mind wander in circles. I seem to need a lot of time alone lately, if only to adjust to the painful nostalgia of being here.

I may have been wrong in not having others to give my attention to. When I see Rae standing with her back to me, watching the ocean, I approach her - fueled now by my debate with Jack.
"Regretting it yet?" I ask her with a bitter tone.

Off in my own world, not acknowledging that she's trying to get at me, I say, "No. Just adjusting."

When Cassandra left the helm, my gaze followed her path over the deck, to eventually land on Rae. Of course, if there was anyone else she would bug, it would be her. I watch them from my position at the wheel. Curiously observing the both of them. Ten years have changed less than Rae would like me to believe. Obviously, the dynamics of discussion have barely changed.
