She narrowed her eyes, not really trusting him "Good, that picnic will be miiine" she grinned and dealt the cards this time. They kept on playing like that for about an hour..

Gilbert leant back in his chair, holding his cards close to him so she couldnt see. They were playing their last hand. This hand for the picnic, since they were tying at the moment. "Show em," Gilbert smirked, he had a good hand, Nikki would have to have a really good hand to beat him.

She spread the cards on the table, they were bad. Really really bad..

"You win," Gilbert said, feeling bad about beating her. He quickly put both their cards in the deck before she could see and shuffled them.
"Tomorrow night then? I'll try not to give you food poisoning," He joked, standing up and stretching. "Hmm.. want to watch some tv? Or we could go for a walk?" He said, not wanting to go back to his house just yet.

Nikki smirked at his sudden covering up the cards, she knew he was lying. "Walk sounds good" She said and got up. She put a big sweater on which was lying on the couch and she headed out the front door with Gilbert behind her.
When they were out of the house she walked next to Gilbert and she reached out for his hand, holding it in hers, swinging it a little "Do me a favor, be honest next time" she grinned "I am okay with losing a game of cards"

Gilbert smirked a little. "I dont mind making a picnic, it'd be fun ... how did you know I was lying?" He asked, squeezing her hand as they walked.

"Oh come on" she pushed him gently with her body, playfully "I've known you for five years now, you're a terrible liar around me" She grinned "I have a nose for liars...but it's okay, I don't mind being wined and dined" she chuckled.
She liked being alone with him, ever since she had a crush on him last year she saw more then just a good friend that happened to be a guy, she noticed his features, how handsome he was, she fell for his wit and jokes and how he cared for his family. He was a great guy and she wouldn't want to loose him, not ever.

"Good," Gilbert smiled, wrapping his arm around her shoulder. "Because I dont mind wining and dining you," He grinned. They wandered through a field, not really heading anywhere, just walking in the nice night breeze.
