He noticed the same thing, and figured if this approach worked, he would keep to it. He smirked, and shrugged his shoulders. "If you start feeling uncomfortable, scream at the top of your lungs and I'll come to save you." He promised jokingly.. and he grinned, slightly. "I'll cya around." He said, before he turned his own way and let her go back to her friends.

don't mind if I do want you saving me Roxy grinned at the thought of him savind her as she walked back over to the table. She was smiling from ear to ear and her cheeks were still read.
".." Ted looked at Roxy as she sat down again "well fuck me.. you got a fucking crush on the guy" he blurted out loud, finally realising why the hell she wanted her friends to like Tom so badly. It was all for her own benefit!
"I wonder what yer pops'll say about that"
"I do not! ... and he'll meet him tomorrow when we're gonna work on our biology project at my place" She said, sounding a little snooty and snappy.
"Great... you know you're endangering us all, right?"
"...oh right because Tom is such a danger to society, he's so wicked and vicious and he'll bust us all and tell the cops on us. Jeez, you're fricking paranoid"

(Vind je t goed als ik zo nu en dan een vriend(in) van Roxy speel? Dacht, das wel zo convenient toch?  ) One of Roxy's girlfriends shook her head at the exchange between Ted and Roxy. She figured that once Roxy's dad approved of her hanging out with people again, the danger would be over. So, who were they to tell her off for it?
"Hey, Roxy. Did he ask you out yet?" She changed the subject in a much more girly style. |

(Sure  ) This changing of the subject to a more girlish style made Ted and Jacob get up "See you guys at math" Ted muttered in an unhappy tone."Yeah seeya.." Roxy turned her attention to Estelle. "No, not yet...and I'm not sure if that'll ever happen. It's been a week now and I'm trying so hard but he's not really responding to any of my attempts to show him that I like him..." her voice sounded quite devistated, and slightly surprised. Afterall, she looked very nice, how could he not like her? |

Estelle played with the straw of her drink, considering it. "I don't know, Roxy. I know he's been checking you out." She smirked, "I noticed that in class."
She put the straw down and looked around, to make sure nobody was listening along with their conversation. "Are you sure he doesn't have a girlfriend? I don't know, from his previous school maybe?" She suggested.

Oh god. Could she have been that stupid? They hadn't really talked about relationships and boy or girlfriends at all, so she didn't know exactly if he was taken already...
"I don't know..I never asked" she sighed and drew a hand through her hair "It would make sense though, I mean, have you seen him? He's so good looking, no way he could be single. And his girlfriend probably doesn't want him flirting with me, understandable.." She bit her bottom lip. "I have to find out, just to be sure"

"You could always ask him." Estelle shrugged, "He is goodlooking. But that doesn't mean he has a girlfriend for sure, right?" She didn't want Roxy to feel bad, so she tried to be tactful about it. "Just ask. In a subtle way." She grinned.

"I know, I'll probably do it in a 'what does your girlfriend say about that" kind way" she laughed "That's the most subtle way I know" she smirked and got up "Let's go to class and see if he's there already" She grabbed her plate and stuff and brought it to the side of the canteen.

When Estelle and Roxy got to the classroom, they found Tom already there. He was sitting crosslegged on one of the desks. The bad news was that he was talking to Mary (the remotely new girl, who they had ignored like every other newbie). Figuring Roxy couldn't talk to her crush like this, Estelle decided to be a good friend and save the day. She took Roxy's hand and went over to the two. "Hey!" She interupted their conversation. "Mary? We're think we're doing the same topic for the Biology project, maybe we should discuss what the outlines of our things will be so we don't do the exact same?"
Mary agreed with a nod and got up to follow Estelle, and Estelle gave Roxy a quick grin at her succesful attempt to lure Mary away. "Cya." She disappeared to the other half of the classroom to keep Mary occupied.  Tom said cya back to Estelle and Mary, and glanced to Roxy then. "Hey again." He smirked.

Not only had Estelle been a real help to get Tom's attention on Roxy again, but she was also helping with the whole breaking-the-newbie-silence. Perhaps unconsciously, but still.. Estelle was talking to Mary, who was ignored for at least two weeks already.
"Hey.. I didn't know you were traiding me for the next best thing" she joked and sat on the desk next to him, to appear equally casual and nonchalant.
