Tom smirked, glancing from Mary to Roxy once. These the girls were in two different worlds though, Mary didn't come close to comparing to Roxy. One was just a highschool girl, the other managed to mess up his mind with inappropriate thoughts.
"Well, yknow, if you're going to leave me all by myself, I really don't have a choice." Tom responded with a fake pout.

"Is that a request to have me by yourt side all the time ? ... Now what would your girlfriend say about that, Tom?" Roxy giggled and threw her hair back. Oh yeah, the old 'what-does-your-girlfriend-think-about-that question, it was too obvious, but she had hardly ever used it so she didn't know it could be that obvious.

Oh man. Instantly, they were right back on the edge of the Danger Zone. It was pretty obvious what Roxy wanted to know. She could've asked whether he was available and it would've been about as obvious.
The easiest thing was to say he had a girlfriend. That would solve the whole problem of flirting and mutal attraction.
But if he claimed to have a girl, his undercover role would be compromised.. imaginary relationships tended to do that, because people would expect to see this girl sooner or later. He couldn't risk that, not even for the sake of convenience.
"Well," He smirked, and looked to the front of the class because the teacher was just entering. He got of the desk and as Roxy followed his example, he glanced over to her once more. "Not very much, since she's non-existant. But once I do get a girl with an opinion on the matter, you'll be first to know." He promised with a smirk.

SHe wanted to tell him that he didn't have to bother about telling her that since she would be the next in line to be his girlfriend, if it was up to her. She held her tongue and smiled a little, not as much as she wanted though. She had to stay subtle "Right, then you can count on it that I'll make sure you don't have to talk to Mary again..she's quite a boring, or so I've heard" she smirked. "Oh, by the way, I was thinking, I know you're busy this afternoon but maybe you have time to walk home with me ? Cause then you'll know where to go to tomorrow and all.." "Everybody sit down please, we're gonna starT"

Tom lowered his voices to a whisper as the teacher spoke up, so they wouldn't get into trouble as the class began. "Yeah, sure." He agreed. He'd go by the jumpstreet office in the afternoon, to update some paperwork. But that could wait a while. So he figured he could walk Roxy home. Who knew, maybe now that she was getting talkative he could actually hear something useful for the investigation too.

Roxy nodded "Great", She returned to her seat and whispered to Estelle 'No girlfriend!!" in a completely happy way.
After School Roxy waited outside for Tom. She realised she had made a mistake, since she had come to school with her fathers car, and not walking or by bus. When she Tom coming over she held up the keys "Can you drive?"

"Yeah," Tom zipped his coat as he walked up to her. It was pretty cold outside. "Why? Did you change your mind? Are we going on a roadtrip rather than back to your house?" He smirked.

She laughed "No, I just like to be driven instead of drive you to my house" She handed him the keys "This way you'll remember better..or something" she grinned and walked over to her fathers car. This way she wouldn't have to keep her eyes on the road so much and she could look AND talk to Tom She hopped in the front seat and put her seatbelt on. "You know.. I know your dad is an accountant, but you never told me what your mom does.." She needed to get to know him better so that she could tell all about him to her friends to make sure they would trust him too. If both his parents weren't cops than that would be a very good start.

Tom adjusted the driver seat's position, and the mirrors, so it worked for him. He felt Roxy's gaze on him all the time though, as he set the car in reverse and got out of the parking lot. As he shifted gear, he kept his eyes on the road and reminded himself to focuss on that rather than the girl on the passenger seat.
He did answer her question though. Conversation was a good thing. "Uhm," He hesitated for a moment, as if he wasn't sure how to tell her this. "My mom doesn't do anything. She passed away a few years ago." He sticked to the rule of having as few relationships as possible - one less relative meant one less risk and getting caught in his role.

"...what? you're kidding me" she mumbled and took her gaze away from him. She stared at the road, her face slightly pale now. "My mom died ten years ago.. that is a strange coincidence" she mumbled, not knowing what else to say.
