Roxy bit her bottomlip "I-i..I don't know" she mumbled, finding it hard to lie to him about how she felt. She had been lying long enough. "you really think so ? It doesn't feel like it.. the longer I sit around doing nothing the worse I feel, it's like there is nothing to hold on to, noone to fall back on.." she searched his eyes and stopped midway through her sentence "i'm sorry, you're the last person I should tell this. I will be fine, I should be fine"

"You're gonna be fine.. cos your dad is gonna come back, safe and sound. I mean, he might go to jail for a while, but there are some damn good cops working on this case." Tom told her. "Trust them to bring him back safe, okay?"

"right, well, I happen to know that they could easily get the money first and then show up with a dead body. These people are hardcore about stuff like this, Tom. I don't think you know how bad this all is.." She let go of him, and took a step back. Why did it feel like she was all alone in this?

Judy came back into the room. "You guys.."
Roxy turned around and frowned
"Captain Fuller just called, he wants me, Ioki and Penhall to go to New York to deal with his on location. He's gonna follow shortly after... I have to turn Roxy into the hands of another officer for now"
Roxy's frown turned into wide open eyes "I have to move to another house ?" she asked,her voice wavering
Judy nodded "Just for now.."

Judy shrugged "couple of days..week tops" she figured, not entirely sure. "Listen, we'll go down to the station once i've packed and i'll make sure they assign you to a friend of mine"
"Oh..okay" she cleared her throat "I guess i'll grab my bag then" she slauched off to her room.
