Sera smirked at the guys reply. She looked both of them over, stole a glance at Stacy, then diverted her attention to the boys again. "I haven't seen you around." She spoke up, sort of curious where these two came from.
"Likewise." Tom told the girl, "We used to hang out at East more." He shrugged. He purposely mentioned the part of the city where all the murders had been committed so far. He saw the look change on the girl's face, and was sure she knew what he was talking about.
"Oh." Sera shrugged, "Well, now's a good a time to change your block as any." She tried to be casual about it.
Tom shrugged, "Right. I'm Tom by the way." He nodded at Penhall, "And this is my friend Doug."

Stacy inspected them. If they were from the East then they must have gotten cold feet. Perhaps CHristian was murdered afterall ? "I'm Stacy, this is Sera" Stacy introduced the two of them
"Nice to meet ya, mind if we hang out 'round yer block for a while?" Doug asked
"Nah, as long as you don't get in our ways..so, you got scared in the East then e y ?" she asked, curious wether they knew more about the murders..

Tom shrugged his shoulders slightly, and gave the girl who asked the question a smirk. "Maybe. It's just not the best place to hang out right now. I'm sure you heard about it, right?"

Stacy nodded "Did you see the bodies?" she asked curiously, it was the first thing that came to mind to ask them.
Doug nodded "We caught a glampse yeah.." What he did not tell the girls was that they worked with the police team to investigate the murder and therefore were forced to check out the bodies.

"That's horrible." Sera frowned. The fact that she was actually sort of frightened by the murders, in combination with the fact that one of her friends was actually killed, didn't make her eager to discuss this stuff so openly. She wrapped her arms around herself, feeling nervous now. But curiosity did get the best of her, and she looked at the guys again, "So? Were they really murdered or was it an accident after all?"
Tom exchanged a glance with Doug, and pulled a hand through his messy hair. "I say they were murdered." He shrugged. "Yeah." There was no use in telling them differently. These girls were oughta be wary these days - so they might as well know the truth on this account.

"damn... poor Christian.. he was a good guy, you knew him?" Stacy looked at the boy who had introduced himself as Tom. There was something about him, something.. that did not belong on the street, but she could not quite figure out what it was.

"No.. No, I didn't." Tom told Stacy. "I heard he was a great guy though. Was he a friend or something?" He asked. All of these were casual questions, the sort that were bound to be asked.. but for what it was worth, they might actually help with the investigation as well.

She nodded "Yes, one of the few you can have here on the street.. he was a great guy, always ready to help you out .. " She sighed "its terrible to see this happening to kids like that.. makes you wonder why he got killed.. "
"Yeah well. the world is full of crazy people now aint it?" Doug mumbled.

"It doesn't make sense though." Sera spoke up, a touch of anger in her voice. "I mean, people get robbed and killed all the time! But this is just useless. What could someone possibly want from Christian?"
That's what we're here for. To find out. Tom thought. He shrugged his shoulders though, not saying that, of course. "I don't know. Maybe he had made enemies or something." He suggested.
Sera rolled her eyes, "Like, no way." She rubbed her arms, really getting cold now. "C'mon guys, let's move somewhere warmer." She suggested, with a sideways glance at Stacy to see whether she was okay with it if she more or less invited these boys to come along.

Stacy frowned a little, not sure whether it was okay to invite complete strangers. For all they knew these two might be killers.. the way they came to the group all of a sudden.. it was strange for sure.
"You guys got any money?" She asked, at least trying to get some benefit out of their two new aquaintance.
Doug dug in his pockets "I got three dollars left" he mumbled. He knew they were not allowed to bring money, but it might come in handy and right now it was.. "Good, we can sit in a cafeteria and split two cups of coffee" Stacy suggested. She hadn't had breakfast yet and it was already lunch time, coffee would be a bit of help, and that way she would still be able to get an advantage from these two guys. "Don't tell the others though, they might wanna come" she said, gesturing at the small group of homeless kids.
