(If I include anyone in this post who was dead after the movies, tell me ) Storm closed her office door and settled behind the big desk, “Good morning everyone.” She started, shoving some paperwork aside before she regarded her team. "I'm sorry we had to meet so early," She said, casting half a glance at Bobby, Rogue and Kitty who'd been busy with danger-room sessions the previous evening. "But the subject at hand is pretty urgent." A knock on the door frame brought Storm’s head up. Logan walked in, pulled out another chair and sat down. A crooked half-grin formed on his lips. “You look like a kid at the grown-up’s table,” he grinned and raised both hands in mock surrender before she could form a response. “It’s just a damned big desk.” Storm smiled slightly at the remark. After since Xavier died, she lead the school. It used to be his office. His desk. “It’s a damned big job,” She reminded him. "And it'd help if you'd come in time from now on." An apologetic shrug from Logan was enough for her to dismiss the subject, and with a touch of professionality she returned to the matter she wanted to discuss. "As you all know, something.. new.. has been threatening the community. A new species." She paused, "They're mutants, but they have no interest in living together with mankind peacefully. In fact, they have no interest in peace with anyone. Not other mutants either.. Their powers seem more supreme than anything we've seen before. Stronger than Magneto. Stronger than.. the Phoenix." She breathed in deeply, "They seem to be going for ultimate descruction of life as we know it.. and it's up to us to stop it." "When do we start?" Peter Rasputin spoke up. "It's not that easy, I'm afraid. When I say their powers are supreme I mean, big time." Storm replied, "So.. I figure you've all heard of Gavin 'Havok' Carter?" "Big shot in the Brotherhood, right?" Logan guessed. "That's him. He's coming to the school today to discuss an alignment between the Brotherhood and the X-men.. temporarily, maybe. We need new forced for this round, and as it turns out.. they're willing to cooperate. Peacefully." Storm only just managed to ignore the sarcastic snort from Logan. "I mean it, guys. This time, it's serious."

Gavin Carter, better known as Havok, stood at the bottom step of Xavier's school for the gifted, staring up at it like he'd never seen a building before in his life.... not a building like this.
So out in the open. So unprotected and foolish. Xavier must have been joking when he made this place. It was target number one on the list, on his list at least. Yet, here he was, standing in front of the target and by himself, no less, about to go in and talk... talk, not fight.
Magneto would have my head for this.... if he still could.
"Hey!" Havok half whistled at the girl that jogged by him up the steps, waiting until she turned to speak, "Where can I find--"
She cut him off. "Don't ask me. I just got here myself. But if you're looking for someone, I'd suggest going inside. Standing on the steps isn't the best form of searching." She smirked and then made her way inside the large double doors.
She, was Reaper. But with a name like that, she almost preferred being called by her human one. Taryn James.
"Hello?!" She called down the empty hall, turning around when she heard the sound of the doors opening behind her to reveal the man that had been standing on the steps not but a moment ago. "Glad to see you made it inside."

Storm had expected some arguing from the team, some discussion, but instead she found herself looking at faces of disbelief. Part of her started doubting whether any of this was wise at all.. inviting the enemy, alliances.. Good god, her team was right about one thing: it sounded crazy. It had been much easier when Charles had been around to make these decisions for her. Now, though, she had to do it on her own, and she could only hope she was doing the right thing.
Fortunately for her state of mind, her doubts were interupted as she noticed Logan's eyes shifting to the door for half a second. His heightened sense of hearing had picked up on Taryn's voice. "Does this guest of yours sound like a girl?"
In response, Storm dismissed everyone from the meeting and got up to see whether it was Havok that arrived. The others left to teach their classes, except for Logan. "You're not gonna let me miss out on all the fun, are ya?" He smirked. Storm didn't argue and they left the office together. Truth to be told, she was glad to have a compagnion in this meeting. After all, nobody said it would go smoothly...
Two minutes later, they walked down the stairs of the hallway where Gavin and Taryn were. "I'm glad to see you could make it." Storm told Gavin. Her gaze wandered to Taryn, wondering who she was.

Gavin turned a bit, watching her walk down the stairs, not failing to miss her whole look and body underneath said look-- definitely not shy to take a look, though he kept his thoughts to himself.
"You must be Storm." He guessed easily enough, having seen her from a distance once or twice. His eyes shifted to the man that had followed her down the stairs, always full aware of who was in the room, even if he didn't say so.
Taryn glanced up as the two came down the stairs as well, but she kept her mouth shut for now. Obviously they were expecting the man beside her and she wasn't one to interrupt.... yet.

Storm nodded at Gavin's assumption. "I am. This is Logan." She introduced the both of them, absolutely calm and professional on the surface eventhough her mind was still raging with wonder whether she was doing the right thing. That said, her glance moved to the girl again. She first assumed she was with Havok but the way she didn't seem to know him told her differently. "And.. you?" She gave her a friendly smile. The woman seemed too old to be signing up as a new student, yet too young to be the mother of any of their students.

"Nobody." Taryn said quickly enough once she realized that perhaps the man beside her was not somebody she'd want to share her information with. He didn't seem like he was a part of the school. "Well, somebody... but nobody for now." She said, confusing herself almost and giving a little smile.
Gavin glanced at the girl beside him and raised a brow and then shrugged and looked back up at the other two, ready to get this meeting over and done with.

"Right.. well.." Storm realized she couldn't deal with these two at the same time, so she shot a questioning glance at Logan. "Logan, maybe you could show miss uh.. her, to the lounge for a second while I talk to Havok." She shrugged.
"Yeah?" Logan spoke up for the first time since they were in the hall. He had noticed Storm's anxiety and more or less sensed she wanted someone else around with this guy Havok. Like she wasn't sure what to expect. He'd be glad to take the part as her bodyguard for a second, but as Storm nodded with a small smile, he shrugged his shoulders. "Sure." He adverted his attention to the other woman, "Want a drink, miss Nobody?" He gestured her to come along and left the hallway.

Gavin watched the others walk off and then he turned to Storm with the hints of a charmingly little grin on his face, "Lead the way." He watched her intently with his eyes, taking in all the small details. He'd heard about her-- he'd heard about all the X-Men and he knew what they could do, but he was still careful for the things that he didn't know.
"Depends what the drink is." Taryn said as she followed after him down the hall, turning to look back over her shoulder once at the man they called Havok. She'd heard of him, just as much as she'd heard of the X-Men. He was Brotherhood, a good thing she hadn't said anymore about herself there.
"If it's alcohol, yes. Water, no thanks."

Storm lead the way back to her office, not blind to Gavin's glanced but certainly not reacting to them either. As far as she was concerned he was a necessary evil at the moment. It felt wrong to invite the head of the Brotherhood here, but.. Charles had worked with Magneto before. Sometimes, it turned out the two opposite teams *had* to work together, or die. She had hoped the next time wouldn't have come so soon though. "Did you find your way alright?" She inquired politely.
Logan casted an amused glance at Taryn. "Li'll early to be drinking, innit?" He asked. But he was in the mood for a beer himself, so he just brought her to one of the kitchens (one that was not accesable for the underage students and thus had beer in the fridge). He got two beers and handed one over to her before settling down at the table that was in the middle of the kitchen. "So, got a name yet?" He asked, opening his bottle.

"It's not a hard place to find. Not very hidden. In fact, it's foolishly out in the open." Havok had no control on his words, nor did he bother to put restraints on his actions either. When they reached the room, he was the one to sit behind the desk and put his feet up like he owned the place, "Very foolish." He smirked a bit, watching her reactions carefully, looking for fear above all things first.
"Never too early to be drinking." Taryn smirked a bit, thanking him when she got the beer and opening it with the side of the table, watching the lid fly off and land ont he floor nearby-- she didn't pick it up. "The name's Taryn James." She held her hand across the the table to him, "Already heard yers, Logan right? Wolverine?"
