Storm didn't have an answer ready for that question.. After all, if they hardly understood what these super-mutants were, fighting them seemed like a game of luck more than anything else. But they had no choice. Havok knew it, she knew it. "I welcome any suggestions." She passed the question back at him.
Logan shrugged his shoulders. "This place is pretty safe for any mutant." He guaranteed her. "Safer than any other." They had their problems in the past, but now, with better security (and more mutant kids who knew how to use their powers properly) a reoccurance of those seemed unlikely. He got up from his chair, "Nother beer?"

Havok ran a hand through his short hair, "Well, that's good news. Not only do we know nothing of them, but we also don't have a plan. Good start." He spoke sarcastically towards her-- respect wasn't much of a issue.
"Yes, please." Taryn nodded a bit, watching his movements. "So, how long have you been at this safe haven. I've heard your name passed around the mutant world now and again, but well, most of it wasn't all that complimentary. Though, it's safe to say you don't smell like a wolf like others say."

Kitty listened to them and the took a beer herself, before sitting down on one of the chairs. She did not miss class, because she did not have to go to all of them anymore. "Who are you" She asked the woman since she had no idea who was sitting accross from her.

"It's more than you came up with." Storm shot back at him, not impressed by his attitude.
Logan smirked, pulling two more beers out of the fridge and walking back to the table. He passed one over to Taryn. "I took up showering." He replied to her last conclusion. He sat down and glanced back to her as he popped open his beer. "I've been here for 'bout three years. On and off." Pretty often he took a break from all the do-good Xaviers-school-attitude, whenever a fit of wanderlust hit him. He glanced over to Kitty as she spoke up - noting the beer and the fact that she wasn't legally allowed to drink. "Hey, grow a year extra would ya?" He smirked, but didn't bother any more 'bout it. He wasn't her fucking dad after all.

Kitty shrugged and didn't reply to Logan's comment about her drinking, since that is pretty much the reply she or anyone else got every time from him.. In stead she was still looking at the woman, kinda curious about her. It was not too normal after all that adult mutants came to the school..

Havok smirked a bit, "You're the genius here. That's how I've always heard it. I'm just the muscle." He grinned a bit as he looked over her body and then back to her eyes.
"On and off." Taryn repeated him, but didn't ask it like a question really, more just of a statement. She glanced at Kitty and answered her smoothly enough, "My name's Taryn James." She shrugged a little and left it at that before looking back at Logan, "So, how do I join this X-team you have here?"

"I should've figured you'd be proud of that." Storm replied. "I think I need a li'll more information 'bout the Brotherhood though. Will everyone agree with this if you decide?" She raised an eyebrow daringly.
Logan shrugged. "Just make sure we can trust ya and turn out to be useful." Is all he could advice her to do. "I'm sure you can stick around until then anyway."

Havok almost let out a growl, but he held it back in his throat, his voice lowering though, "They'll agree if I've agreed." He said clearly, showing he was in charge of the Brotherhood completely.
Taryn nodded a bit, "Good, then I'll go get my bags." She gulped down a big drink of the beer and set it down as she stood up from the table.

When Taryn had left the room, Kitty looked at Logan. "How do you know we can trust her?" She asked him, being somewhat suspicious towards strangers. In these days you could never be sure about who was who.

"If you say so." Storm smiled politely, efficiently hiding her amusement at Havok's short temper. Things were pretty different in the Brotherhood in comparison to her own team - where leadership was based on whoever was capable and respected. That, instead of feared or even hated.
"Who says I do?" Logan pointed out easily enough. Whether he trusted her or not was not the question though. If she came to this school looking for trouble, she could get it. If she was here for the right reasons, they were oughta let her stay. That's the way things worked down here after all.
Kitty shrugged her shoulders again and took a gulp of her beer. She smiled at Logan "So.. do you think that we will work together with Havok and his people?" She asked, tracing the rim of the beer bottle with her fingertip.
