Logan was starting to wonder just how thick-headed this girl was, but he remained his patience. "Go out there alone and you're dead meat." He put it in easy terms for her, "Now, I don't know 'bout you, but I'm not gonna sit around waiting for the world to turn evil. It's gonna be tough to stay alive if the whole state turns against you. Let alone the country." He looked at her. "I'm gonna leave the mansion again, cos it's as likely to get fucked up as any other place. But running isn't gonna help in the long run. So I'm gonna go back to their base camp, if it's still there, and see if I can do anything about it." He waited for a reaction, but when he got none, he shrugged and explained, "I think you should come. I could use some back-up. I know you're not a fighter, or the bravest person in the world, or the most righteous one. I don't fucking care, two pairs of eyes see more than one." He knew this wasn't gonna convince her, so he threw in something for her. "And you, you're gonna be better off with someone to watch your back too. Cos honestly.. you're not gonna stand a chance alone."

Taryn had set herself in a rigid posture as he started his speech and explaination-- her arms crossed tightly in defense over her chest, standing straight upright, mouth pursed into a flat line as she listened. She didn't say a word for at least a minute after he finished, just staring at him through half narrowed eyes. She didn't like being told what her options were, she usually preferred finding them out through trial and error-- and she hated it even more when really there was only one option to go with that would keep her alive... for a while.
"Fine." She exhaled the word in a breath and then another, "I'll go." She lifted a finger to add her ultimatum, of course, "But don't expect me to be a hero or anything like this. If a supermutant comes running at us, I'm running that way." She jabbed a finger over her shoulder and then almost felt bad about saying that and tried to explain, though she was sure he already knew, "You have claws, strength, and the ability to regenerate. Storm, she's got the power of fucking lightning behind her. Even Iceman has the ability to freeze hell over. I don't." She shrugged, "I always said my powers... they're for afterwards. Don't throw me into a fight because I'm no good. You want the truth Logan, I'll slow you down. The same way I did before. You'll have to look out for me, and I'm not going to lie and tell you that you wont." She seemed somewhat ashamed, but she hid it well, "So, maybe you're the one that should rethink the offer."

"I thought it over, Taryn." He assured her. "No second thoughts." Of course he had thought it over. He wouldn't have suggested it if he hasn't weighted the options. Sure, she might be one more person to worry 'bout, to keep alive when necessary, to slow him down... but he figured she'd be of use. Two pairs of eyes did see more than one. But moreover, she knew more about the inside of the building where the machine was kept than he did. She'd walked through it, he'd just made a run for the door. And.. and this was probably the main reason to want to keep her alive.. her powers were of more use than she gave them credit for. One thing Logan was curious about was whether a brainwashed person would still be brainwashed when they came back from the dead. But secondly, his healing powers usually kept him out of serious trouble. But if he was diving into this thing all alone, maybe hers could speed up the healing process more than usual. If necessary.

Taryn eyed him for a moment, "Fine." She agreed again, "But don't say I didn't warn you." She somehow wanted him to change his mind, though he didn't seem like he would-- more over, she was afraid he'd change his mind about their "partnership" in the middle of a dire situation and leave her to rot with the supermutants. It wouldn't be the first time she was betrayed-- why she typically avoided people in the first place.

Logan smirked, "I won't." He told her. "Wait out here for a few seconds, if you don't wanna go back there." He nodded at the mansion, "I'm gonna go get some stuff and we can be on our way."

Taryn nodded slightly, "Alright, I'll stay right here." She pointed near the gate and then went about fixing her clothes and rechecking for any bruises or scratches after her trip off the speeding motorcycle.

When Logan returned a few minutes later, he carried a bag over one shoulder which contained some useful stuff. "Brought you some clothes, too." He announced when he got back to where Taryn was standing. "..If you suppose you'll fit into Storm's size of clothes." He added.

Taryn made a slight face at the thought of wearing Storm's clothes, "Yeah, I don't think all of me is going to fit." She said sarcastically, looking down at her chest and then giving a shrug, "Let's go... wait, where are we going exactly? We can't just show up at their base and expect to get in."

"Why not?" Logan shrugged, going over to his motorcycle which Taryn had crashed before. Despite the scratches and bended pieces of frame, it still roared to life quite easily. "Mind riding on the back this time around?" He asked her drily.

"You're crazy." Taryn stared at him from where she was, not moving an inch. "No way I'm going to ride up with you like a parade for us to get ambushed and slaughtered." She crossed her arms, "I didn't agree to that."
