Just as Sadie walked over to clean off another table, at the Tavern she just started working at, she felt a hard slap on her butt and heard "'Ey gemme s'more rum wench" Sadie turned around just to see another drunken pirate, she held back from punching and sarcasticly said "As you wish" She got him his mug of rum and went on cleaning tables and begain thinking to herself, 'This aint fer me, I cant do this for the rest of me life, there must be a way out.' Just as she went to return the old rag behind the bar she heard a familiar voice. She quickly turned her whole body and said " Jack.....Jack Sparrow, that ye?" Walking closer to were the voice was comming from, just to see him sitting with a bottle of rum in one hand, and the other he was waving around telling a story to a dirty looking wench.

"And thus," Jack gestured to dramatize his story, and quite succesfully so, because the wench on his lap widened her eyes in expectance, "When those geese broke loose from the cages, I managed to escape under the eyes of those redcoats. Climbed through a roofwindow, I did. And so, I sacked Nassau port without even firing a shot!" His arms flung wide, a grin on his face as exaggerated as his gestures. The wench on his lap giggled and leaned closer to him, and Jack took a few deep swigs of rum. He didn't notice the approach of a certain barmaid.

Sadie rolled her eyes at Jack's story that she's heard a thousand times before, only a bit diffrent each time " 'Ellooooo, can ya hear me" She said, putting her hands on her hips and yelled "JACK SPARROWW!!!"

Jack nearly choked on his rum when she made her presence known in such an ear deafening fashion. He lowered the bottle and glanced over to Sadie - no, he glared at her, really. "Captain. Captain Jack Sparrow." He corrected her drily. "At yer service."

She held back a laugh when he corrected her, reminding her that he is indeed 'Captain Jack Sparrow' And decided pass up on the opportunity to make her usual smart comment and insted just asked "Well why am I not surprised to see ye here?"

She smiled and began to explain herself, "Because ye actually injoy being being in this godforsakin tavern, where as I on the other hand," Her smile quickly turned in to a frown as she continued "I unfourtunatly call this me life." She didn't give him a chance to respond to her explanation before she went on, "So tell me Ja-, CAPTAIN Jack, What new story have ye got for me?" She took a moment to remember in her mind of all the stories he's told her when he came to "visit" her mother.

The girl on Jack's lap frowned a little and leaned closer to the pirate, demanding him to give her the attention back that she was given earlier. Jack kept his gaze on Sadie a moment longer though, a smirk playing on his features. "Plenty, luv.. as always." He told her easily, "Unfortunately, I find myself rather busy tonight." He nodded at his company.

The memories were still ricocheting around in her head, memories of how his stories made her feel so free and took her away from her hell-ish life just for those few moments, and how she's always wished she could sail away into the horizion the way Jack can. 'I wish I had the freedom he has.' She thought. Just then a voice from behind the bar broke her from her thoughts, snapping her back to reality. "Hey I'm not payin' you to chat it up all night." A look of desperation suddenly took over her face before looking Jack in the eyes once more then without saying anything she returned to serve the drunkin fools at the bar.

Jack watched her go with a thoughtful look on his face.. That look in her eyes, one of mere desperation, was not easily forgotten. He followed her figure with his eyes as she moved around in the tavern, serving rum and ale, cleaning tables and collecting empty mugs. "Hm." He sounded in thoughts still, before he took his rumbottle and had a few swigs.
Time always went fast in Tortugan taverns though. At least for the customers. So before long, Jack had departed with his 'company' at his side. He'd left behind some money on the table for their last round of drinks. In fact, he'd left a money-filled pouch, rather than just the money.
