Astoria pulled her shirt together so it wouldn't expose anything. "What was her name?" She asked, knowing he didn't know. "Well, I know I have a younger sister in Tortuga. Haven't seen her since I was a lad. . Hell I dunno if her or her mum are even still alive, but yeah, that might be the one." Which was partly the truth. Though Astoria was so young the last time she seen her brother she doesn't even remember his name.

"I dunno", Jack answered. "She never told me. It's a shame, when we go back ta Tortuga in the future, I won't know how ta find her."
He noticed this boy was acting very jumpy as he tried to help him with his shirt.
What's wrong with him? he wondered. He's acting like a girl.
"How old is yer sister?" Jack asked. "The girl told me she was around 18."

Astoria cleared her throat giving herself a moment to clear her thoughts. "Aye, that sounds 'bout right. She's a year younger then me. I'm 19." So far every word shes said to Jack - as a female and a male - was a lie. If he ever found out the truth in any of it, he'd never trust her.

"What's yer name?" Jack asked. "'nd if ya don't mind me askin' what's yer sister's name? The girl wouldn't tell me and I'd really like ta know it."
Jack picked up his knife to get the bullet out of the boy's shoulder.

Oh crap! She thought. . . Might as well tell some of the truth. "Her names Astoria. . . Mum used ta call her Asty for short, she hated it. No one was allowed to call her it but mum." She forced a laugh then cringed as Jack popped out the bullet. "My names. . . Cas" She took the name of her first love.

"Asty, eh?" Jack asked. "I like that. It's lovely. Astoria's an even lovelier name fer a girl. 'nd yer name's Cas?"
The boy nodded. Jack held up the bullet covered in blood for Cas to see.
"Ya see this?" he asked. "Ya better get used ta seeing these. Yer gonna be spending lotsa time firin' 'nd dodgin' these."
He picked up a torn piece of Cas' shirt and wrapped it around his arm.

She couldn't help smiling when Jack made the comment about her name, although she would never agree that Asty is lovely. She hated it. "Thanks." She said. "Fer the shoulder I mean."

"Yeah, well", Jack said. "Don't get used ta it. I'm not always gonna be helpin' ya with things like this."
He dismissed Cas. Jack couldn't help but think when Cas smiled, it looked like Astoria's smile she gave him the other night.

"Good, cuz I wont be takin' 'ne more bullets fer ya!" She teased then left the room.
Once she was back on deck, she let out a sigh of relief that she wasn't caught. One of the crew members offered her a bottle of rum to help numb the pain from her wound, which she accepted and began to clean blood off the deck from the battle.

Timeskip
Jack sat in his cabin thinking about Astoria. Even though he barely knew her, he couldn't help but miss her. Jack knew he was drunk that night, but he remembered every little detail of that night he spent with her.
