Rose didn't react at all to Embry or the lights being turned on in the room. Her eyes stayed on the scene playing out before her. She didn't even know her brother was there, but he didn't seem to be able to see what she was seeing. Later, she'd wonder if she was crazy, but right now, her eyes would not tear from the horror of what she guessed was coming.

"Take the kids! No, Alex, stop, go get the kids and get away!" Thomas seemed to be battling with himself, at least he wasn't fighting Alex and there was nothing else there to fight. Alex scrambled up on her feet, trying to get the gun away from Thomas hand but he said with a voice that sounded like it was darker and deeper than his normal one;
"I'll shoot your fucking guts out!"
Embry hurried up to Rose and shook her.
"Rose! Talk to me!"
but it was like she was in some trance, just staring infront of her

Rose didn't utter a word to her brother, staring right through him, not seeing or feeling him. Tears streamed down her face as she watched what was happening before her-- and her alone. It didn't seem like it was real to Embry, but it was so real to Rose. Every bit of it was a stab to her already fragile heart.
She watched her dad lose his mind, fight the sickness everyone had always knew was inside him. This time, she gathered he'd lose the fight and do his worst.
"Dad, don't... it's mom... what are you doing?"
She whispered, unable to help it.

Alex didn't leave his side and they fought over the gun when suddenly the bedroom door opened. Both of them quickly looked towards it and Alex seemed to become more terrified than what she was over fighting with Thomas and the gun.
Thomas winced in pain as his head hurt, and his eyes turned brighter and he kept the gun aimed, but now towards the door instead.
"What the fuck are you doing here?!"
During the scene that played for Rose, she couldn't see who was by the door.
In the meantime, in the real world, Embry panicked slightly and picked up his phone to dial 911 or their psychologist since he couldn't get Rose out of the trance-like state

Rose gasped in the real world as she realized there really was someone else in the scene. She stepped forward, like she would be able to get into the scene and help in somehow. She couldn't get out a breath, her face the color of a white sheet. She was clammy and cold, like she'd seen a ghost-- but instead she was watching a ghost scene.

Embry had decided to call the psychiatrist. "Come on, pick up, pick up!" he looked towards where Rose was looking but he saw nothing but the wall.
"Rose, what are you looking at?" he held her arm so she wouldn't walk away
Rose could only see an arm stretching out from the bedroom-doorway and the hand which was covered in a black glove held a gun steady aimed at Thomas and Alex. Due to the drugs in his system, Thomas was very slow at reacting as the uninvited guests' gun fired.
"NO!"
Thomas dropped the gun he held when he caught Alex in his arms as she was shot not only once, but three times in her stomach. Thomas stumbled backwards with Alex, hitting the wall behind him and he stared at Alex who was now spitting blood and desperately holding onto Thomas as her life drained out of her.

Rose screamed as the gunshots went off, not because she was frightened of being hurt herself, but she was literally watching her mother die.
"Mom!"
She jerked forward, taking Embry with her toward the wall where her parents were. She didn't try to see who was at the door, knowing unless Thomas wanted to show her she wouldn't be able to. This was his memory.

Embry dropped the phone to the floor when Rose jerked them forward and the phones battery got disconnected.
"Fuck!" Embry didn't let go of Rose though, trying to calm her down.
"She's not here, Rose! Rose, look at me!"
Thomas ran up to the gunman in rage.
"Get the fucking kids!" the man seemed to call to someone else who wasn't seen.
Thomas knocked the gun out of the mans hand, but panicked when he heard the man calling for someone to go after Embry and Rose.
"Don't fucking touch them!" Thomas was fighting the man who was much stronger and bigger than him.
"ROSE! EMBRY!" Thomas called out, not knowing if they were home from school yet or not.

"We're not there... dad, we're not there...."
Rose kept mumbling to the scene, despite Embry trying his hardest to get her attention. Her eyes were glazed over in her trance as all she saw was the past.
"Get out of there! He's going to kill you!"
She didn't know who the guy was, who the two guys were that were doing this to her family. No... that had already done this to her family.

Embry got frightened when Rose kept talking to someone who wasn't there, no screaming to something he couldn't see.
"Rose, please!" he begged her, tears in his eyes now cause he couldn't help her.
Thomas got knocked unconsciouss to the floor and there was a calm atmosphere now over the tragic scene as the two men seemed to be going downstairs. Their voices could be heard;
"They're not here"
"Shit....alright...lets get this done with, hurry the fuck up"
The men got back into the room and Rose could see a bit more of them now as they were moving around Alex and the unconscious Thomas. They were wearing gloves and seemed to have done this before...
