Jack burst through the cabin doors and faced Hector completely drunk.
"Thought you should know Hector, I've set a course to....well the ghost didn't exactly say where...but we're heading -hic!- somewhere." his brown eyes were wide as they pierced through Hector's steel blue ones. "An tell yer hat I need me monkey!" he spoke getting his words jumbled up as a sign of how drunk he was now.

Barbossa jumped out of his chair and headed for the door, calling out to anyone who could hear him on deck, "Belay! ...Whatever the hell he said!"
The monkey made a croaking noise to get Barbossa's attention. "What? I'm not a mind-reader. Just point to it and I'll poke it with a sword." The monkey did a low, cat-under-the-duvet growl and crawled into Barbossa's waistcoat. Barbossa gasped, slightly wigged, but reluctantly let the monkey stay. "Cold, cold, cold."
He looked back to Jack, exasperated. "And in what direction did your little invisible friend tell ye to sail?"

Jack watched the monkey's strange behaviour and growled. "Stupid monkey." he looked around the cabin for any signs of more rum.
"Worth nest." he replied then frowned. "I mean nest worth....I mean NORTH WEST!" he yelled angrily as he took out his compass and threw it to Barbossa.
"don't go drowning it, it can't breath under water ye see, as most compasses don't." he looked around for more rum. "Ye have no rum, how decietful."
he blinked a couple hundred times and then faced Hector. "Not invisible friend, ghost."

Barbossa caught the compass with his left hand, keeping his right on the butt of his pistol, because damn. He sneered at Jack. "Oh, I apologize. And what's Northwest, Jack? Ancient lunatic burial ground?"

"How should I know, the ghost just told me to go that way, probably inside me compass as we speak." he replied still searching around the cabin.
"I need you for something though...don't remember what exactly but still." he shrugged and snatched his compass back and attached it to his clothing again.
"By the way hector I'll just leave on this note." he spoke as he walked over to the doors, leaned on both in a gesture to close them and faced Barbossa.
"Love you, always have always will. and ye look better with your hat on." he said closing the doors behind him and walking back up on deck

As the doors shut Barbossa started back, staring dumbfounded in Jack's wake. The monkey poked his head out, looked where Jack had been, then squinted up at Barbossa and chattered.
Barbossa squinted back at him and locked the cabin doors. "Oh, shut up." He briskly returned to the table, took his seat again and put his feet up on a nearby chair. He settled in, arms folded, trying to sleep. After a while of not being drowsy, which seemed to frustrate him further, his eyes wandered the room and settled on his hat, sitting on the table where he left it. He reached out for it and the monkey chattered again.
Barbossa glared down at him threateningly, changing his tone to something more scolding. "I will drop kick ye if ye don't get to sleep."

"Mr. Gibbs, set the ship into a laveer, I need to make port rather soon." Jack spoke. "Any paticular reason Cap'n?" "I need to speak to someone. Apparently staying there in hiding." Jack replied turning the helm ever so slightly. "Good thing Tortuga be dead ahead." He stepped down from the bridge running a hand over the bulwark and looked down at the sea. "Keep a weather eye out for Tortuga mate." he told the man as he went to his own quarters to sleep the rum off, he needed to be sober when adressing whom he was meant to be seeing. ( like Jack, I best be turning in too, as its rather late...but I'll post more tomorrow! )

Barbossa hummed an old Spanish ditty to himself and stroked the monkey's chin. He cooed, "So what's my little man been up to today, hm? Did you get Daddy a beak? Huh. What happened to buttons? I liked getting buttons. A whole hell of a lot better than beaks and talons.... Aww, don't get upset, it's fine. More beaks for me." ((Night! )

Jack awoke the next night and saw it was dark and he went out onto deck. "Where we be Gibbs?" Jack asked. "We're nearing Tortuga." Gibbs replied. "Good."

After quite a bit of soothing jabber, the monkey finally fell asleep. Barbossa took this opportunity to go over the Mao Kun map again. He began to turn the discs, trying to see what could be made from them. There was a sword on one of them and he sent it around the circumference, just to watch it go. This got old very fast, and it wasn't long before he'd nodded off, hunched over the charts.
