Jack snuck in to Barbossa's quarters and took the charts from him then went back out on deck, staring up at the sky and gazing at the stars as they approached the island. "Ye were talkin to someone Jack, by the helm." Gibbs said walking over to him. Jack turned to him and frowned confidently saying. "No I didn't" he smiled his cheeky smile and placed the charts in his own quarters looking at them. "I still don't get this thing...."

Having been wearied to the bone, Barbossa slept through the dogwatch and well past. The monkey woke before him and began calling out to get his master's attention. Barbossa finally woke, bleary-eyed and slow to think. Being groggy and too accustomed to monkey-fits, it took him a few minutes to get the message -- the charts are gone! ...Crap!
Barbossa buried his face in one hand, tired of feeling like an idiot surrounded by idiots. The monkey quieted down, looking at Barbossa expectantly. Barbossa sighed heavily. "Alright, I'm going." He pulled himself together, put on his hat and jacket, pocketed an apple and left the cabin in search of Jack, leaving the monkey to his post-curse OCD hobby of finding everything in the cabin that belongs exclusively to Jack, and throwing it out the rear window.

Jack frowned down at the charts and looked for something that would resemble the book or something of the sort, he massaged his temples and sighed deeply in a groan. "This doesn't make a single lick of sense..." he looked up from his hands. "Did I imagine that voice?....probably." he looked up and out the corner of his eye from the mirror behind him he saw a glimpse of a figure and then it was gone. "....Thats interesting."

After failing to find Jack on deck, Barbossa went below, following the sound of Jack talking to himself again. He stood in the doorway of Jack's quarters, watching him for a moment or two. He hasn't had enough sleep to gracefully handle another loop of this. Bitterly, "Now, is this still the ghost from the last idiotic conversation, or are they working ye in shifts?" He smiled wryly. "Maybe if ye promise to be generous at Christmas, they'll let ye be." ((OOC: I know, horribly anachronistic joke, but I had too! ))

(( LOL made me laugh XD ))
Jack heard Hector and so he laughed sarcastically. "Oh shut up." he sighed as he continued to study the charts turning the wheels and thinking aloud. "Where's a ghostly voice when you need one.....?"

Barbossa invited himself in, shaking his head at the pity that is Jack Sparrow. Clucked his tongue, mocking.
"I reckon it were me well-bred faith in humanity what deluded me that ye were as daft a little hat as ye'd ever be. Chatting to yerself, I'm more than used to -- I'd almost be disappointed if ye stopped. But now ye've gone and turned theological on us? Can't say I'm not a mite disappointed."

"Hector, you really need to stop mumbling mate, can't tell a word ye be saying." he smirked up at him, he did hear he just chose to ignore him

Leery, "Immortal wraiths and spirit veils, hereafters and all that church-going sincerity? Might be. But a wayward soul in need of service appears randomly in the Caribbean 'til he comes upon a ship, then carefully searches out an ear to bend, and chooses you, when there was a perfectly good monkey aboard? I'm afraid I'm not religious enough t'swallow that one."

"I'm popular in the spirit world?" Jack shrugged and went back to reading the charts. "You wouldn't like him much though Hector." he grinned and looked up at him. "He didn't much like you...least thats what I was getting from his words"

Barbossa stopped smirking, stopped snorting, stopped moving. He just stopped. And then, he got just a teensy bit furious and a teensy bit loud. "What did that dead bastard say about me?"
