"You didn't change, did ya?" Logan returned the smirk. They arrived soon after and got outta the car, walking up to the tall building where the Fantastic Four resided.

Mystique led the way to Reed's lab, the way she knew well after two years. "Hey, can't we just ... destroy Reed's machine?" Alfie asked. "Like we did with the other one?"

"Hope so." Logan said. He was keen on wrecking the thing, pretty fed up with jumping from one universe to the next by now. He'd like to stick to this one.

Logan wasn't too worried about instant universe-swaps. Fact that they managed to transfer twice in six years time made it pretty clear they weren't very frequent. He was just there to make sure the frequency wouldn't increase, and bring the wrong people to the wrong place. He didn't understand a damn about how it worked, but that was what Reed was for.

They walked in to Reed's lab and found him working away at his desk. "Hey," Mystique said with a smile. "Logan wants to talk science with you,"

Reed looked up with a expression of shock and surprise.
"Don't worry. I just wanna talk whose-ass-do-I-get-to-kick if science gets us in trouble." Logan said. In the next few minutes, he explained the situation to Reed as well as he could. He repeated what he'd heard in that other dimension, that once you opened the path between universes, it didn't close so easy. And that the others were interested in invading earth.
