"Yeah," Logan said, heading to the door with her. He wasn't happy that Reed wasn't sure about anything. He wanted to know what they were up against. If he had an idea what the biggest problem was (Kaede's homesickness or something along the scale of a world invasion) he'd sleep a lot easier. Not knowing was the worst part of it.

"He'll figure it out," Mystique said, taking a wild guess what Logan was thinking. "He brought you back, didn't he? He'll sort this out," She said, half reassuring herself that they wouldn't be disappearing again any time soon.

"Sure." Logan said, although he had his doubts. He didn't question Reed's skills, he was just aware that the other universe had years of development as a headstart. But he kept his mouth shut for now, not seeing a reason (yet) to worry Mystique any further.

"I don't give a shit 'bout the world, 's long as Kaede's safe and sound." Logan reacted, sharing the philosophy he'd had for six years now. In a force of habit, he forgot to add Luce and Mystique. They hadn't been his to keep safe for a long time - it'd take some getting used to.

Logan briefly met 'r gaze, "Yeah. Course," He said, letting go off her hand when they got back to the car. He got in on the driver's side and waited for Mystique and Alfie to climb in too.

Mystique watched him carefully for a while, trying to judge his thoughts. She eventually turned her eyes to the road when they started moving.
Alfie climbed in the back, keeping his mouth shut for a change, not interfering in their 'matters'.

Their ride back was in silence, each of them preoccupied with their own thoughts. Logan was thinking about a plan of action in case the world did get invaded. Years ago, he had learned to share his thoughts and worries with Mystique. But he wasn't used to it anymore, and failed to see the need now. It was an old habit returned - to keep his mouth shut and his thoughts to himself.
When they got back to the mansion, they got out of the car and headed back inside. Anna just returned from her meeting with David too, so they walked into the hallway just as she was taking off her coat there.
