Logan trusted it would take Lucy at least half an hour to pick out a tree, so he sat down at the kitchen table and sank his teeth into a sandwich. "You girls wanna help?" He asked Mystique and Kaede, with a slight smirk at the latter.

Logan dodged the blob of peas-and-carrot-goo which landed on the coffee machine instead. He smirked, his mood slightly improved thanks to Kaede and Luce both, while he met Mystique's gaze. "You gonna let her say that?" He repeated jokingly, this time directed at Mystique.
