Mister Jeremy managed to waste nearly ten minutes of Tom's time. First, he asked about moving here and whether Tom liked his new highschool. All of this for the sake of politeness, Tom knew, but he didn't really care for any chit-chat with the biology teacher. He was here on a case, after all, and this guy was pretty much wasting Tom's (and his own) time questioning a student who wasn't even a student. After the usual bullshitting, he asked about how far Tom was with biology. Tom knew what the curriculum of any highschool subject was by now (thanks to being in highschools so much during his job), and he easily answered the question. Satisfied with the information, Mr Jeremy finally let him go.
Tom swung his backpack over one shoulder and left the classroom to catch up with the rest. Once he was out of the door though, he was surprised to see the girl he was sitting next to earlier there.
Roxy.
He was sorta taken aback by how beautiful she managed to look, just leaning against a wall carelessly. That wasn't exactly something everyone could pull off.
"Hey." He drew her attention.

"Finally" Roxy exclaimed, pushing herself away from the wall. She had started to wonder if a new guy was worth getting in trouble for during mrs. Gorhams class. Now that he came walking out though, cassually with his backpack hanging loose over his shoulder she remembered he might just be worth it. "What did he do, give you a third degree or what ?" She took her schoolbag, a new one in bright blue that wasn't a backpack but one that hung schuin across her shoulder . "I thought I'd wait for you and show you around or something.. didn't know it would took Jeremy THAT long though" She smirked a bit, already over the fact that she had to wait for ten minutes. He was worth it.

Tom gave her a lopsided grin, looking over to the class he just came out off, before he glanced back to Roxy "Trust me, if I knew he was gonna keep me there this long I would've jumped through a window for a quick escape." He joked.
He looked at her curiously for a second, surprised she stayed to wait for him, but it was a good thing anyway. "So.. what's there to see?" He asked to her offer to show him around.

"the canteen of course, and all the classrooms and the oh so interesting restrooms" She giggled "What's your next class?" She wondered, perhaps their sceduals matched...
She didn't know why she took a great liking to Tom from the first minute she saw him, perhaps because of what she saw. She didn't know more than a name and she liked him already. She'd have to try to keep him just as interested in her as she was in him. Something told her that wouldn't be too difficult. Nobody liked outsiders very much, especially not now that Cody had died a few weeks ago. Everybody was watching out for everybody..

"Uh," Tom took the wrinkled paper out of his pocket which was his scedual, and smoothened it enough so he could read it. "English, and Math after that." He told her. "But a tour around the canteen sounds a lot more interesting." He smirked at her. He wasn't going to learn about drug-poisoned kids in English class, after all.

"Ahh.. bad guy, I like it" Roxy grinned, pretending to be more than just the normal girl in high school. Sure she looked like a pretty popular girl, but she was normal like the rest, she didn't have extra attention because of her looks, the opposite actually. The boys she had liked in high school were always afraid of her, scared that she was either a bitch and vain because of her looks or scared because they weren't good looking enough to be their boyfriend. The only boyfriend she had had was in junior year, but he transferred to another school in another town..
So she decided to turn things around, she'd step up the game and show Tom that she kinda liked him, so he could get used to that and do something about that. As for skipping English and trying to look tough..he looked tough so she had to form herself into what he might like.
"I'm not in the mood for English anyway, and our math teacher is much more fun. Are you buying me coffee?" she asked, a devilish look in her eyes.

He glanced at her, and smirked.
He hadn't fully decided on what role to take in this school yet. He figured that these kids weren't too keen on anyone new in their school now that something pretty traumatic happened so recently. He expected it to be harder to blend in.. So he figured he'd act like that which would help him mingle more easily. The indifferent one, for one thing. It would allow him to skip classes to socialize, like now. And the clever guy, so when he was in class people would want to work together with him. It wouldn't be difficult to be an outstanding student, since he'd done everything three times or more by now. And, when he had actually passed his exams back when he was 18, he pretty much had straight A's to begin with.
So far, the act seemed to work. Roxy seemed interested enough in talking with him. She was even being playful, making her easy to approach.
"Sure," He granted her the request for coffee. "I'll even get you a cookie." He winked at her, being playful right back.

Roxy laughed "My my, aren't we generous". She put her hand on his arm and led him towards the canteen. "Here we are. It is small, odd smelling and the food is quite gross, but its a canteen nonetheless" She smirked and sat down at the nearest table. "We've got passes instead of money here, not sure whether the headmaster gave you one. You can use mine" She took hers out of her wallet. Her father would put money on the card once a week, and since he was quite rich from all his illegal business she wouldn't starve any time soon.
She observed Tom once more, before she realised it might get too awkward. He was the new guy and he probably already felt uncomfortable, her looking at him all the time would only add to that. It was ,however, difficult to not look at him, those eyes and handsome face, those didn't exist much within the school.

Of course, Tom wasn't really uncomfortable coming to a new school at all. That's what he did every few weeks, so it wasn't particularily out of the ordinary for him. But he did notice that Roxy was looking at him a lot. And maybe it was his imagination, but she seemed a little flirty with her constant radiant smiles.
Maybe that was just her though. She looked like one of those pretty happy-go-lucky girls, who just had a lot to smile about. So he thought nothing about it, and accepted the card Roxy took out of her wallet. "Kay, I'll owe you a coffee some other time." He promised, before he went to the machine to get them their drinks.

Roxy shrugged, really not caring about the money. She watched him as he stood in line to get the coffee and cookies and she smirked. For someone who wasn't an expert on hanging out with cute guys she sure did get very far already... No doubt though, that was because everyone else was afraid of hanging out with new people. There was a policy of not talking to strangers right now, a policy of not gossiping about the drugproblem on Elkwood. Secrecy was the main policy...
