"So that's why you're the only one who dared to look me in the eyes up to now?" Tom guessed. It sounded weird though. No school community was this crazy about keeping things amongst themselves. He figured it had something to do with the death, he just couldn't think of a reason *why* this was related to each other. Not everyone in this school had something to do with it, after all. ...He hoped not.

"I know, but I think if they do they won't be able to look away anymore" she chuckled and blushed. Now would be the time to stop saying things like that and act normal again, what if she totally freaked him out ? "Mr. Coleman is quite a cool math teacher, very helpful and funny as well. We better not get late...and normally I'm not this conscious of time. I mean.. you don't seem like someone who's on time all the time.." He just looked like a guy who'd do whatever he wanted, no matter what people would think of it.

He smirked at her. She was definately flirting with him now - he would have to be pretty dense if he would fail to notice that. She was even blushing. He would've expected the flirting, a pretty girl like her wouldn't be too shy for that, he figured. But the blushing didn't make much sense with that. One way or another, the blush on her cheeks made her look cute as possible.
"I'll try to keep a good reputation for now." He told her, so she wouldn't miss her classes because of him. And since it was time for class by now, he took the initiative and got up first. "Let's go."

"Alrighty" She got up and flinged her bag around her shoulders "It's in room 8, that's just down the hall over there" She headed out of the canteen, showing the way. As they approached the room it was already crowded by a few pupils hanging out in front of the room, waiting to go in. "Giiiiirl, have you pissed off miss Gorham today! Furious that you didn't show up at all" Roxy shrugged at her friend "I've never missed one class, she probably missed someone to bitch at.."

Tom smirked. Now she said she never missed one class, when she claimed something else to him earlier. It was pretty funny. "Not so conscious of time, huh?" He repeated what she had said to him, grinning teasingly.

Roxy's eyes widened but she soon readjusted herself and shrugged "I didn't have a good reason before.." she rolled her eyes. Oh boy, what would he say if he hung out with a goody good girl ? That was so not cool. She needed to be cool now. "I'm going in" Estelle said and walked in "oh and Roxy? You better go in alone.." she warned her friend about Tom the new kid.. Sure he was very good looking, Estelle thought so too, but they couldn't mingle now.

Tom watched Estelle walk inside, and then turned his gaze to Roxy with an eyebrow raised slightly in question. "Okay. So, what, do you have a boyfriend in math class who's really jealous or something?" He smirked. But really, he wanted to know what all the don't-mingle-with-the-new-kid stuff was about.

Roxy smirked, getting the wrong impression now.. he wanted to know whether she had a boyfriend or not, that was a good thing right ? "Eh, no.. I don't have a boyfriend" she answered. "Just some friends that expect me not to ... nevermind, it's not important." she mumbled and shrugged a little. She could hardly tell him that she wasn't allowed to hang out with him at all, that would be odd. "I better get in, Estelle's my mathbuddy, and you probably have to introduce yourself to mr. Coleman" She said, finding it a good excuse to go ahead without clinging to him.

"Yeah.. sure." Tom said. He could tell that Stacey was lying though. She didn't want people to see him with her, and he couldn't figure out why. Moreover, her friend, Estelle, obviously shared that opinion. He started to think this wasn't just limited to her though. Nobody besides Roxy spoke to him, or even dared to look at him longer than a second. So what was going on? Why was he put in a state of absolute isolation by these kids? Was that just how this school worked, or did it have something to do with that kid who died?
Tom watched as Roxy went ahead and joined the class. He figured he could find out, one way or another. Later. For now, math was on the program, and he walked into the class relunctantly and went over to the teacher to introduce himself.

And so mathclass continued, and afterwards geography. Roxy figured that she'd better lay low and not hang out with Tom during math's and Geography, because the guys from another group were in that same class. The guys who had thought of the idea to isolate newbies in the first place. They were the general bullies of the school and not many people were befriended with them. Roxy was, sort of. Since those were the guys she had to give packages to, she had interacted with them often enough. Really all they did was protecting Roxy with this rule, on special request of her father...
During lunchbreak Roxy sat at a table with Estelle, Jacob, Ted and Jimmy. She looked around to see if she could find Tom anywhere. She had smiled at him a couple of times during Geography, but she hadn't said a word.
