Logan watched her silently.. thoughts turning in his mind. Even though she was asleep, the look on her face wasn't peaceful. And he worried about her. He figured that she couldn't be 100% alright after what they'd seen. But hell.. there was little he could do for her. Maybe time would make 'em forget. Maybe.
Logan pushed himself from the doorframe and walked over to her side. After he'd put the mug from her hands down in the window sill, he carefully lifted her body from the chair to carry her across to the bed.

Mystique woke when he lifted her, and buried her face in his chest with a slight groan. "You smell better," She mumbled, half asleep.

"That's what showers do." Logan agreed, while he put her down on the bed, and pulled back the blankets for her.

Mystique gave him a slight smirk and rolled on her side, already drifting back to sleep.

Logan watched her fall asleep, and waited for her breathing to slow to a steady rhythm. He didn't think he could sleep any time soon. Eventually, he pushed himself to his feet again and headed downstairs for a beer. Or two. Or twenty five.

Mystique woke up late the next morning, sleeping in until near-midday. She stretched her arms above her head with a groan and rolled out of bed. She hit the shower before getting dressed and fetching Kaede from her room. The mother and baby headed downstairs for breakfast and lots and lots of coffee.

Logan had eventually returned to bed the night before, and was now still sound asleep.
Downstairs, Lucy bounced after her mummy and baby sister the minute she spotted them. "Breakfaaaast!" She demanded, "Hungryyyy!"

"Sit down then, Luce," Mystique told her daughter, sitting Kaede in the high chair before she moved to the kitchen counter, taking out a bowl and pouring Lucy some cereal.

"Muuummy, I want to do something fun todaaay," Lucy said in a whiney voice, while she practically climbed on top of the kitchen table to grab the cereal bowl. "I want to built a treehouse!"

"Ask your daddy, he's the builder," Mystique said. "...when he's awake," She added so the little girl wouldn't run up that second and bounce on him.
